Director of Communications
Matt leads SASB’s communications efforts, delivering SASB’s message to investors, companies, media and other stakeholders. For more than 20 years, Matt has helped financial brands tell their story. He has served in marketing and communication leadership roles across the investment management, wealth management and investment banking segments, including Macquarie, Dimensional Fund Advisors, UBS and Delaware Investments. Early in his career, Matt created award-winning employee education content for Vanguard’s DC clients. He has also led marketing, branding and communications engagements for marketing agencies, working with clients such as Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Guardian, Fitch Ratings, Bank of Montreal and JP Morgan.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Elizabethtown College and an MBA in Marketing from La Salle University.

Director of Capital Markets Policy and Outreach
Janine Guillot is the Director of Capital Markets Policy and Outreach at SASB, where she leads outreach to investors to support demand for standardized disclosure of material sustainability factors. Ms. Guillot has more than 25 years of experience in operating, strategy, risk management and finance roles in financial services. Janine served as Chief Operating Investment Officer for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), where she was responsible for CalPERS investment office business and operational management, CalPERS affiliate funds and CalPERS defined contribution plans. Ms. Guillot also oversaw the CalPERS corporate governance program, including integration of sustainability and governance factors into investment decision-making. Janine has held senior leadership positions at Barclays Global Investors, Bank of America and Incapture LP. At Barclays Global Investors, she served as Chief Operating Officer for BGI’s European and Global Fixed Income businesses. She began her career in public accounting.
Janine holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Southern Methodist University. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust, Equilibrium Capital and Community Initiatives. She serves on the Senior Advisory Board at the Center for Responsible Business at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, on B Lab’s Multinational and Public Markets’ Advisory Council, and on the FDIC’s Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee.
DAVID S. POST, CFA
Director of Research
David leads SASB’s team of sector analysts. The team is responsible for working with issuers, investors and other stakeholders in a rigorous research, analytics and consultation process to identify current and emerging financially material ESG risks and opportunities among 79 industries. Financially material ESG risks and opportunities, which the team defines in terms of industry-specific metrics, are designed to be low cost to issuers and help enable investors and issuers to make effective capital allocation decisions. This research supports the SASB Standards Board’s technical agenda and influences the content of the disclosure standards, advancing SASB’s core mission.
David has been an equity portfolio manager and research analyst for over twenty years, during which time he led the equity research departments of two multi-billion dollar AUM firms. He has researched, invested in and visited companies in nearly all sectors. This experience gives David a strong background to help the research team identify non-financial topics and metrics, which are material to investors, issuers and other stakeholders. David holds a BS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Director of Legal Policy & Outreach
Mr. Riesenberg is the Director of Legal Policy and Outreach at SASB. He is the former Deputy General Counsel of Ernst & Young LLP responsible for regulatory matters, primarily involving the SEC and the PCAOB. Mr. Riesenberg worked at E&Y for more than 20 years. He handled dozens of lawsuits and regulatory investigations of the firm and its clients. He was the firm’s lead lawyer on legislative and regulatory developments, including the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the SEC and PCAOB auditor independence rules, auditing and accounting standards, the U.S. Treasury Department Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession, the SEC Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting, and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining E&Y, Mr. Riesenberg served for seven years as an Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he primarily handled court of appeals and Supreme Court cases involving insider trading, broker-dealer regulation, financial fraud, SEC rulemakings, and other securities law matters. Mr. Riesenberg’s position with SASB is funded through a consulting arrangement with EY.
